Our small town of approximately less than a thousand residents is known as "The Gem Of The Nature Coast". We are strategically located in the County of Levy, which lies between Gainesville (University of Florida... go Gator's) and the Gulf of Mexico. We're linked from the mainland by several bridges extending to our tiny island 3 miles out in the Gulf... water, water, everywhere.
The island can be accessed by air, land or sea. While flying in with your private plane you can spot many varieties of birds and other wildlife that live throughout the islands... this is a real Florida Wildlife and People Sanctuary. Approaching our 2,400-foot-long and 100-foot-wide lighted runway, with 14 aircraft tiedowns and 2,000 square yards of apron area, you can see many of the unique island homes. Highway 24 comes from the mainland all the way to the end of our picturesque dock area with it's quaint art shops and mouth-watering smells coming from the many popular Sea Food restaurants... and finally, you can utilize our sea access via many different waterways and channels, then moor at our dock which can accommodate yachts of up to 150 feet with 15 foot of draft, and for smaller boats our City Marina provides 50 slips.
